Documentation checked 4 October 2026. Based on Kajabi's public pricing page, terms and help centre, not hands-on product testing.
Kajabi pricing in the UK looks simple on the surface. Three plans, three prices, a toggle for annual billing. But if you run a course or membership business from Britain, the number on the pricing page is not the number that will leave your bank account.
Kajabi bills in US dollars. Your card converts it. VAT may be added on top. And depending on how your customers pay you, there is a small recurring fee that quietly takes a slice of every membership payment, forever.
None of this makes Kajabi a bad choice. It just means you deserve the full picture before you commit, especially if you are thinking about annual billing.
So here is how this guide works. First, the prices in dollars and pounds. Then the three decisions that actually pick your plan for you. Then the money that leaks out in places most reviews skip, including one line in Kajabi's help centre about cancelling that every membership owner should read before they sign up.
Kajabi Prices in Pounds: The Monthly and Annual Figures Side by Side
Let's get the raw numbers out of the way first, because everything else builds on them.
Kajabi's terms say its fees are generally quoted and paid in US dollars, and subscriptions are billed in advance, either monthly or annually. Here is what the pricing page showed on 4 October 2026.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Annual billing (paid upfront) | You save on annual |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | USD 179 (about £136) | USD 143 (about £108) | USD 1,716 (about £1,300) | USD 432 |
| Growth | USD 249 (about £189) | USD 199 (about £151) | USD 2,388 (about £1,809) | USD 600 |
| Pro | USD 499 (about £378) | USD 399 (about £302) | USD 4,788 (about £3,627) | USD 1,200 |
Kajabi says annual billing saves 20%. That holds up. Twelve monthly Basic payments come to USD 2,148, against USD 1,716 for the year paid in one go.
The exchange rate quirk that makes annual billing more predictable
Here is something most UK buyers don't think about.
When you pay monthly in dollars, your card converts the charge every single month. If the pound weakens, your Kajabi bill goes up in sterling, even though Kajabi hasn't changed its price at all. Your bill can drift a few pounds either way from one month to the next for no reason other than currency movement.
Annual billing converts once. You get twelve months of service at a single exchange rate. That doesn't make it cheaper by itself, but it does make your costs predictable for the year, which is useful if you budget tightly.
The trade-off is cash. You're handing over more than £1,300 on day one for Basic, and once the refund window closes (more on that shortly), that money is committed.
What the headline price leaves out
To keep this guide readable, here is the list of things the subscription figures above do not include. Unless a section says otherwise, assume these sit on top:
- VAT or other tax added to your Kajabi subscription
- Your card provider's exchange rate and any foreign transaction fee
- Payment processing fees on your own sales
- Extras such as contact blocks and AI credit top-ups
- Refunds, disputes and the tax on your own customers' purchases
Keep that list in your head. We're going to price several of these properly further down.
Pick Your Kajabi Plan in Three Steps (Price Comes Last, Not First)
Most people open the pricing page, look at the cheapest plan and ask, "Can I make this work?"
That's backwards. The better question is, "Which plans can't I use at all?" Cross those off, then compare money. Here's the order that saves you from a costly upgrade three months in.
Step one: the limits you can't buy your way out of
Kajabi's plans differ in what they allow, and here is the important bit: most of those limits have no add-on. You can't pay a little extra for one more website on Basic. If you need it, you need a different plan.
| What you get | Basic | Growth | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Products you can sell | 5 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Marketing contacts included | 2,500 | 25,000 | 100,000 |
| Websites | 1 | 1 | 3 |
| Communities | 1 | 1 | 3 |
| Team members or admins | 2 | 11 | 26 |
| Live cohort courses | No | Yes | Yes |
| Affiliate programme | No | Yes | Yes |
| Advanced automations | No | Yes | Yes |
| Webhooks | No | Yes | Yes |
| Public API | No | No | Yes |
| Edit site code | No | No | Yes |
| Your own branded app | No | No | Yes |
| AI credits a month | 0 | 500 | 1,000 |
| "Powered by Kajabi" footer | Shown | Removed | Removed |
All three plans include unlimited landing pages, funnels and marketing email sends, your own domain, the Kajabi customer app and third-party integrations.
Read down that table with your own business in mind. If you run a cohort programme, Basic is already off the list. If you have a VA, a co-founder and a community moderator, that's three people, and Basic allows two.
One more thing on team seats. Kajabi's pricing page says you can add teammates without per-seat pricing. That's true, but the plan still caps the number at 2, 11 and 26. "No per-seat pricing" doesn't mean "unlimited seats".
The one limit you can buy more of, and why it rarely saves money
Marketing contacts are the exception. Kajabi sells extra contacts in blocks of 25,000 for USD 125 a month on any plan. It also sells 500 extra AI credits for USD 15 a month.
So you might think: "I'm happy on Basic, I just need more contacts. I'll add a block."
Do the sum first. Basic plus one contact block on monthly billing is USD 179 plus USD 125, which is USD 304 a month. Growth is USD 249 and already includes 25,000 contacts. You'd be paying USD 55 more a month to stay on a plan that still limits you to five products.
The downgrade trap worth knowing before you start high
Some people start on Pro "to try everything" and plan to drop down later. Be careful with that.
Kajabi says that if you move to a lower plan, any products above the lower plan's limit must be removed before you can downgrade. And products that are permanently deleted cannot be recovered.
So if you build 12 products on Growth and later want Basic, you'll need to get down to five first. Decide whether "trying everything" is worth that clean-up job.
How Your Payment Route Quietly Decides Which Kajabi Plan Is Cheapest
This is the part of Kajabi pricing in the UK that changes the maths the most, and it's the part most comparison sites gloss over.
Kajabi says it takes a 0% revenue share as a platform. That sounds like "Kajabi takes nothing from your sales". It doesn't quite mean that. It means Kajabi doesn't take a cut just for hosting your products. Taking payments still costs money, and which fees you pay depends entirely on how your customers pay.
You have three routes.
- Kajabi Payments. Kajabi says this is available to UK-registered businesses. You pay Kajabi's published UK card fees. The plan-based fee for outside processors does not apply.
- PayPal. Kajabi says PayPal is excluded from its extra third-party processing fee. PayPal's own charges still apply (they weren't part of what we reviewed).
- A directly connected third-party processor. You pay that processor's fees plus an extra Kajabi fee: 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro.
That third option is where the plan choice gets interesting, and we'll come back to it with a worked example.
Kajabi Payments fees for UK businesses, in full
Here is the UK fee schedule from Kajabi's help centre, checked 4 October 2026.
| Fee | Published rate |
|---|---|
| Standard UK cards | 1.5% + £0.20 |
| Premium UK cards | 1.9% + £0.20 |
| EEA cards | 2.5% + £0.20 |
| International cards | 3.25% + £0.20 |
| Subscriptions and payment plans | Extra 0.7% on every payment in the series, including the first |
| Kajabi Sales Tax feature | Extra £0.12 per successful transaction on an Offer where it's switched on |
| Kajabi Invoicing | Extra 0.4% per invoice |
| Disputes | £20 each, not returned even if you win |
| Currency conversion | Extra 2%, built into the rate, when offer and settlement currencies differ |
| Instant Payout | 1%, minimum £0.50 |
| Refunds | No extra fee, but the original processing fees are not returned |
| Clearpay (one-time payments) | 6% + £0.30, plus 1.5% cross-border |
| Klarna (one-time payments) | 4.99% + £0.35 for UK businesses selling to UK customers |
The 0.7% membership fee that compounds every month
Look at the subscriptions row again. It's the one I'd circle in red if you run a membership.
That extra 0.7% applies to every payment in a recurring series. Not just the first. Every month, for as long as that member stays.
On its own, 0.7% sounds trivial. On a £49 membership it's about 34p a payment. But it's 34p per member, per month, with no end date. Across 200 members, that's about £68.60 a month, or roughly £823 a year, on top of the normal card fees.
It isn't hidden. It's right there in the schedule. It's just very easy to read past.
The card rates on Kajabi's main pricing page are not UK rates
If you've seen 2.9% + 30¢ on Kajabi's pricing page, that's for US businesses. Kajabi states those rates apply to US entities. A UK-registered business should use the UK schedule above.
And if you're hoping Growth or Pro unlocks cheaper card fees: Kajabi's pricing page mentions discounted Kajabi Payments rates on higher plans, but the public UK schedule doesn't list them. Kajabi tells account holders to check Account Settings, then Billing. If a discount matters to your decision, look during your free trial. This guide doesn't assume one.
A Worked Example: 200 UK Members at £49 a Month
Numbers make this real, so here's a hypothetical business. It isn't a real customer and it isn't a recommendation.
A UK membership has 200 members paying £49 a month by standard UK card. That's £9,800 a month in recurring card sales. It needs one website, one community, no more than five products, fewer than 2,500 contacts and two admin seats. So Basic fits on paper.
| Fee | Calculation | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| Base card rate | 1.5% × £9,800 | £147.00 |
| Recurring surcharge | 0.7% × £9,800 | £68.60 |
| Fixed fee | 200 × £0.20 | £40.00 |
| Total | £255.60 |
That £255.60 a month (about £3,067 a year) is on top of the subscription. It also leaves out tax, refunds, disputes, premium or overseas cards and any plan discount you might find in Billing.
Same business, different route: when Growth beats Basic
Now imagine that same business uses a directly connected outside processor instead of Kajabi Payments.
Kajabi's extra fee on £9,800 would be £196 a month on Basic (2%) or £98 on Growth (1%). That's before the processor's own charges.
The £98 difference is bigger than Growth's extra subscription cost, which is USD 70 a month, or about £53. So on the outside-processor route, Growth would cost this business less overall than Basic, even though Basic "fits".
On Kajabi Payments, that logic disappears, because the plan-based fee doesn't apply. Basic stays cheaper unless a Growth-only feature becomes a must-have.
That's the "aha" in Kajabi pricing: the cheapest plan depends on how you take money, not just on what you sell.
The break-even points if you use an outside processor
| Comparison | Monthly billing | Annual billing |
|---|---|---|
| Basic to Growth (2% vs 1%) | USD 7,000 a month | USD 5,600 a month |
| Growth to Pro (1% vs 0.5%) | USD 50,000 a month | USD 40,000 a month |
These only compare Kajabi's extra fee against the subscription gap. They assume both plans already meet your needs, and they don't apply at all on Kajabi Payments or PayPal. Convert your sterling sales at your own rate before comparing.
If you'd like to run your own numbers against other platforms, our course platform cost calculator lets you plug in the prices you've checked.
Want Zapier on Kajabi? Check This Before You Choose Basic
This one catches people out because of how the pricing page is worded.
Every Kajabi plan lists "third-party integrations". So you'd assume Zapier works on Basic. But Kajabi's own Zapier guide describes its Zapier connections as webhooks, and says webhooks are only available on Growth and Pro.
| Connection | Basic | Growth | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Third-party integrations | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Webhooks (in and out) | No | Yes | Yes |
| Public API | No | No | Yes |
If a Zapier workflow is essential to your business (sending new buyers to a spreadsheet, tagging people in another email tool, that sort of thing), treat it as a Growth requirement.
Two smaller details:
- Zapier uses the API Key and Secret from your Account Details. Kajabi says these are different from the OAuth credentials used for its public API, so Zapier doesn't depend on the Pro-only API.
- The public API is on current Pro plans. Kajabi says older, legacy Pro subscriptions don't include it by default and need either an upgrade or a USD 25-a-month add-on. Kajabi also notes that not all dashboard data is available through the API.
Kajabi VAT for UK Buyers: Two Separate Questions People Mix Up
There are two tax questions here, and blending them causes confusion.
Tax on your Kajabi subscription
Kajabi's terms say its fees are quoted without tax, and VAT or similar charges may be added based on your billing address. If you're tax-exempt, you need to give Kajabi acceptable evidence first. And if Kajabi doesn't charge the tax, the terms make you responsible for working out and paying it.
The materials we reviewed don't state a fixed UK rate. Check the tax line at checkout and on your invoice, and ask your accountant how it applies to you.
Tax on your own sales
This is the bigger one. Kajabi's terms say it is not a marketplace. You are the official seller, responsible for collecting and paying tax on customer transactions, issuing refunds and following consumer law.
Kajabi Payments offers a Sales Tax feature at £0.12 per successful transaction on any Offer where it's switched on, whether or not tax is actually charged. It helps you calculate and track tax. Nothing we read says it makes Kajabi responsible for filing your VAT. So switching it on doesn't settle your UK VAT obligations by itself.
This is general information, not tax advice.
Your 30-Day Kajabi Refund Clock Starts Later Than You Think
Kajabi advertises a 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee on every plan. Lovely. But read how they fit together.
Under section 4.6 of Kajabi's terms, you can get a full refund within 30 days of your first charge. Not your first day. Your first paid charge.
So the timeline looks like this:
- Days 1 to 14: free trial, no money taken.
- Day 15 or so: first charge.
- The next 30 days: full refund available by emailing billing@kajabi.com and following the instructions.
- After that: payments are non-refundable, with no credit for partly used time.
That's genuinely generous, nearly six weeks to decide. The catch is annual billing. Once the 30 days pass, a full year is committed. If you cancel later, you keep access until the end of the year you've paid for, but you won't get money back.
Two more ways out are worth knowing. Kajabi's help centre describes cancelling from Account Settings, then Subscription, and says you can undo a cancellation before the billing cycle ends. And there's "parking": you pay a designated monthly fee, your content stays stored, but your sites go offline until you reactivate. The parking fee amount wasn't stated in the material we reviewed.
Cancelling Kajabi Doesn't Stop Your Members Being Charged (Read This Twice)
Here's the line I promised at the start.
When you cancel your Kajabi account, your site goes offline and your customers lose access. But Kajabi's help centre says their active subscriptions and payment plans are not cancelled automatically. Customers keep being charged until each subscription or plan is cancelled individually.
Picture what that means if you move to another platform and forget one member. They keep paying Kajabi-processed charges for access that no longer exists. And because Kajabi's terms make you the seller, refunding them is your job.
| Area | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your site and members | Site goes inactive. Customers can't log in and lose access to what they bought. Email features stop. |
| Custom domain | Disconnected automatically |
| Email campaigns | Stop sending |
| Customer subscriptions and payment plans | Not cancelled. You keep limited login access to cancel each one under Sales, then Payments, then Subscriptions (Kajabi Payments, Stripe or PayPal) |
| Customer data | May be deleted 90 days after termination. Kajabi sends reminders 14 and 7 days before |
| Coming back | You reactivate on a current plan. Parking doesn't give access to your content or site editing |
If you ever leave, treat "cancel every customer subscription" as a planned task with a checklist, not an afterthought.
What You Can Take With You When You Leave Kajabi
Leaving costs start the day you join, so it's worth knowing what's portable.
- Contacts. Export as a CSV from the Contacts tab. The download link expires after 3 days, and Kajabi says the export is limited to your plan's contact limit.
- Course templates. You can export a Course template as a ZIP. Kajabi describes this as a way to move a template to another Kajabi site or share it. It's not a full portable backup. The link expires after 7 days.
- Full course backups. In its cancellation article, Kajabi says a full backup of courses isn't possible, though you can download individual lesson videos manually.
So here's the practical tip: keep your original video files somewhere you control from day one. If you have 200 lessons and you're downloading them one by one in a panic the week before you cancel, you'll wish you had.
Our course platform migration checklist covers the full list of records to protect before any move.
Ten Checks Before You Pay for Kajabi (Save This List)
- List your hard requirements: products, websites, communities, team members and must-have features like cohorts, affiliates, Zapier, API or a branded app.
- Cross off every plan that fails one.
- Count your contacts. If you're over the allowance, compare a USD 125 block against the next plan up.
- Decide your payment route: Kajabi Payments, PayPal or an outside processor.
- If you'll use an outside processor, compare your monthly sales with USD 7,000 (monthly billing) or USD 5,600 (annual).
- During the trial, check Account Settings, then Billing, for any card fee discount.
- Estimate card fees from the UK schedule, including the 0.7% on every recurring payment.
- Check the tax line at checkout and your card's fee for paying in dollars.
- Diary your refund deadline: 30 days from your first paid charge.
- Keep master copies of your videos outside Kajabi, and plan to cancel each customer subscription if you ever leave.
Kajabi Pricing UK: Quick Answers
Does Kajabi charge in pounds?
No. Kajabi's terms say fees are generally quoted and paid in US dollars. Your card provider converts the charge, so the sterling amount depends on its exchange rate and any foreign transaction fee.
Does Kajabi take a percentage of my sales?
Kajabi says it takes a 0% revenue share as a platform. But card processing still costs money. Kajabi Payments has its own UK fees, and an outside processor attracts an extra Kajabi fee of 2%, 1% or 0.5% depending on your plan.
Do the 14 trial days count towards the 30-day refund?
No. The refund window is 30 days from your first paid charge, so it starts after the trial ends.
If I cancel Kajabi, will my members stop being charged?
Not automatically. Kajabi says you must cancel each customer subscription or payment plan individually. You keep limited login access after cancelling to do this.
Can I use Zapier on Kajabi Basic?
Kajabi's Zapier guide says its Zapier connections run on webhooks, which are only on Growth and Pro. If Zapier is essential, plan for Growth or test it during your trial.
Can I take a full copy of my courses if I leave?
Not as one export, based on the documentation we reviewed. Contacts export to CSV and templates export as a ZIP for use on Kajabi, but Kajabi says a full course backup isn't possible. Lesson videos can be downloaded one at a time.
Is annual billing worth it for a UK business?
It saves 20% and converts the prepaid annual subscription charge once. Later fees and add-ons remain exposed to exchange-rate changes. But it commits the full year's cash once the 30-day refund window closes, so it suits businesses that are confident they'll stay.
